Garden City Aquatics (GCA) is proud to announce the first-ever Inter-Schools Swimming Competition of its kind in the region, a landmark initiative aimed at promoting swimming, water safety, and youth development among school children in Kumasi and its surrounding communities.
This maiden event will bring together pupils and students from various basic and junior schools to compete in a range of swimming categories. It marks a significant step in expanding access to organized school-level aquatic sports while introducing many young people to structured swimming for the very first time.
Beyond competition, the event will serve as an important platform for raising awareness on water safety and drowning prevention, while also promoting discipline, confidence, teamwork, and healthy living among participants.
As the first initiative of its kind, GCA hopes this competition will lay the foundation for a strong culture of school swimming competitions in the region and beyond, contributing to the long-term development of aquatic sports in Ghana.
